Where have all the flowers (trees) gone...

Today the Leyllandii (Latin for Ugly Plant) trees at the back of the site were removed. Hooray!!
This is a before shot

and an after.

The neighbours are now looking west at the puzzling orange ball they can see in the evening. We are looking forward to the sunlight streaming into our bedroom at 6:30am (On second thoughts, maybe we could put a few back up...)

This is the shredder which is chopping up all the plants. I want one!!!!
This is the famous NTL cable,

Orla called into them today and an engineer came out this afternoon to look at it. He promptly disappeared but promised to come back. Progress I suppose.

The tree in the middle of the opening has no particular sentimental value, nor does it house a rare bat colony, it's just that NTL have still not bothered to move their cable. Why don't you all try to ring them because I'm having no luck...Click here NTL

Ready for breaking through.

The builder has cut the wall to allow the JCB to knock through.
Front wall cut through

This is the inner wall, which will have to be pulled out as there is a TV cable behind it. We have rung NTL four times to remove it but they don't seem too pushed.
